How to cook water leaf soup

Ingredients:

  • Periwinkles
  • Waterleaf
  • Stockfish
  • Beef
  • Bitterleaf
  • Crayfish (ground)
  • Seasoning cubes
  • Chopped peppers
  • Dry prawns
  • Palm oil
  • Salt to taste

Cooking steps

  • Wash the beef and steam with seasoning until well cooked
  • Add the stockfish, crayfish, prawns and cook until the stock is dried
  • Taste and check for seasoning. Add the red oil and cook for 3 mins
  • Add the bitter leaf and waterleaf. Allow cooking for 3 mins
  • Allow the leaves to blanch before stirring. Put off the heat, then serve with any choice of a swallow.
